It was a night of elegance, culture, and global celebration at the Wyndham Grand Bangsar as four major pageants came together under one roof. The grand finals of Supermodel Universe International 2025, Mrs. Earth Malaysia 2025, Mrs. Earth Malaysia 2025, and Women of the Universe Malaysia 2025 marked a historic milestone in Malaysia’s pageant scene.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of Risa Suzuki, a 47-year-old clinic administrator from Japan, as the winner of Supermodel Universe International 2025 in the women’s category. Representing Malaysia in the men’s category, Vasanthan Kalidass, a 33-year-old dancer from Kuala Lumpur, claimed the international male crown.
On the national stage, Chelsea Colette, a 30-year-old graphic designer from Selangor, won the title of Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2025, while Shaneekha Paremeswaran, a 19-year-old medical student from Penang, was named Supermodel Universe West Malaysia 2025. Both winners will proudly represent Malaysia at the Supermodel Universe World Finals in China this November.
The Mrs. Earth Malaysia pageant brought its own share of glamour and achievement. Mandy K. Gondaara, an entrepreneur from Kuala Lumpur, was crowned Mrs. Earth Malaysia 2025. Melaka-based lawyer Kasturi Muniandy secured two titles – Mrs. Earth International Malaysia 2025 and Mrs. Earth West Malaysia 2025. Meanwhile, Datin Kelvin Dhillon, a 43-year-old secretary from Pahang, walked away with the title of Mrs. Elite Earth Malaysia 2025.
In the Mrs. Classic Universe Malaysia 2025 competition, Ng Wee Mian (Miu Miu), a 51-year-old businesswoman from Selangor, took the crown, while the Woman of the Universe Malaysia 2025 title went to Shantinee Mahendran, a recruitment company director from Kuala Lumpur.
A Celebration of Culture and Advocacy
Delegates competed in three main segments – traditional costume, swimwear, and evening gown. The event also featured fashion showcases by JK Fashion and VIMONO: Vintage Kimono Cardigans by Anastasia, adding a unique cultural flair. Several participants demonstrated their talents, reinforcing the pageants’ mission of celebrating both beauty and individuality.
Months of preparation led to this night of triumph. Contestants underwent personality and advocacy evaluations, oratory and runway training, and even produced environmental projects. One special element this year was the mentorship program, where participants from the Mrs. categories guided and inspired their younger Supermodel Universe counterparts.
Supermodel Universe International welcomed participants from Malaysia, Japan, Kenya, Nigeria, Syria, Türkiye, and Seychelles – a testament to the competition’s international reach. Winners received crowns, sashes, trophies, and exclusive wellness prizes worth RM150,000 sponsored by The Heal.
The judging panel included industry leaders such as Alex Lim (Founder of Lamode Group), Carol Lim, Rebecca Nair, Puneedha Raja Ram, Francis Yip HC, Dato’ David Gurupatham, Carl Graham, and many others.
A Milestone for Malaysia’s Pageant Industry
The evening was directed by Ammetta Malhotra Begin, an internationally recognized fitness trainer, pageant organizer, and former Mrs. Classic Universe 2022. Recently appointed as President of Mrs. Earth for a five-year term, her leadership is expected to strengthen Malaysia’s position in global pageantry and eco-tourism. Future Mrs. Earth international finals will be hosted across Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Penang, and one of the Borneo states.
The night also included special recognitions: entrepreneur Angela Jun from Ipoh was named Mrs. Earth International Branding & Image Ambassador 2025, while international diver Roshan Babu Balakrishnan received the International Underwater Sports Icon 2025 award.
The glamorous show was hosted by Rhenu Buller and Supermodel Universe 2019 winner Thalia Thin, with strong support from sponsors including Wyndham Grand, Rhythm Flow Studio, Farah Hair & Beauty Salon, and many more.
Beyond the glitz and glamour, the pageants emphasized empowerment, environmental advocacy, and cultural appreciation. With Risa and Vasan now carrying the international titles, and Malaysian representatives set to compete on the world stage, this year’s event proved that beauty pageants are not just about appearances but about leadership, responsibility, and global unity.
