The Malaysia International Branding Showcase (MIBS) returns for its 20th edition this December, promising a vibrant convergence of global brands, cultural heritage, and business innovation. Scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 December 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), MIBS 2025 will span Halls 2 through 5 and feature over 500 booths, making it one of the largest trade exhibitions in the region.
The official press conference, held on 10 October at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, marked the formal launch of the event. It was attended by a distinguished group of leaders and dignitaries, including Dato Chong Chong Tik, President of the Malaysia Promas International Business Society (PROMAS); Lady Puan Sri Dr. Susan Cheah, Honorary Life President of PROMAS; Dato Seri Abu Hassan Bin Mohd Nor, President of Dewan Perniagaan Usahawan Malayaia (DPUM); and Datuk Zainal Abidin Bin Jaafar, Chairman of Zajas Sdn. Bhd.
Their presence, alongside representatives from the Department of Agriculture Malaysia, JAKIM, MIHA and international partners from China, highlighted the strategic importance of MIBS as a platform for cross-border collaboration and economic growth.

In her speech, Lady Puan Sri Dr. Susan Cheah emphasized that MIBS is “more than just a showcase of products and services; it is a gateway to global opportunities.” She noted that the event plays a vital role in brand expansion, business matching, and fostering enduring cross-border partnerships.
As MIBS celebrates two decades of success, she reaffirmed its mission to empower Malaysian SMEs, promote regional cooperation, and position Malaysia as a leading hub for branding and consumer trade in the ASEAN region.
MIBS 2025 is co-organized by PROMAS, the Asean Malaysia China Development Chamber, the Federation of Textiles General Goods & Garments Association Malaysia, and Dewan Perniagaan Usahawan Malaysia (DPUM). It is endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation and supported by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and the Malaysia Hakka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This year’s showcase will present six core exhibition themes, ranging from wellness and beauty care to smart appliances, food and beverage, fashion apparel, home décor, and consumer gifts. These categories reflect the evolving demands of global consumers and the growing emphasis on lifestyle, sustainability, and innovation.
Datuk Zainal Abidin Bin Jaffar, Chairman of Zajas Sdn Bhd and strategic partner of JAKIM, highlighted the growing influence of the Halal industry within MIBS. He noted that Halal-certified products now span cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and lifestyle goods—underscoring Malaysia’s commitment to becoming a global Halal hub.

“The Halal concept represents integrity, quality, and trust—values that align perfectly with the mission of MIBS to elevate Malaysian brands to the global stage,” he said.
A special feature this year is the debut of the World Hakka Expo Pavilion. This dedicated space will celebrate the rich cultural legacy of the Hakka community while promoting global trade and entrepreneurship. Exhibitors from Malaysia, China, and other Hakka diaspora regions will showcase traditional crafts, modern innovations, and collaborative business models under the theme “Connecting Heritage with Global Trade.” This initiative not only honors cultural identity but also reinforces Malaysia’s role as a bridge between tradition and modern commerce.
Robbin Hou, General Manager of the Taizhou Cross-Border E-Commerce Malaysia Show Centre, shared insights into the evolving landscape of digital trade. He revealed that the newly launched Malaysia Cross-Border E-Commerce Exhibition and Sales Center has already helped 13 Taizhou enterprises enter the Malaysian market via platforms like TikTok.
“Our goal is mutual prosperity and win-win cooperation,” he said, emphasizing a B2B-first approach that supports local wholesalers and retailers. Hou also encouraged collaboration with Malaysian influencers and e-commerce professionals to enrich the local market and create new employment opportunities.

Beyond the exhibition floor, MIBS 2025 will host business matching sessions, trade forums, and networking events designed to foster meaningful connections and long-term collaborations. Whether you’re a seasoned importer, a startup brand, or a curious buyer, the event offers a wealth of opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.
MIBS 2025 invites business leaders, entrepreneurs, and trade professionals to be part of this landmark event. As Malaysia continues to position itself as a central hub for international branding and cross-border trade, MIBS stands as a testament to the country’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and global connectivity.
