MusicWerks Studio is excited to announce Animenia 2024, a groundbreaking music festival that will push the boundaries of orchestral performances. Set to take place on the 27th of July 2024 at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Centre in Petaling Jaya, this event promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience for all music lovers.
Founder Sharon Paul, an accomplished Malaysian songwriter and producer, revealed details about Animenia at a press conference and media preview at the GSC Cinema in Tropicana Gardens Mall. The festival will feature a fusion orchestra called Raja Farouk Live (RFL), a 30-piece orchestra composed of up-and-coming musicians from the local anime, cosplay, and gaming scene. These talented individuals will perform a mix of compositions that blend traditional such as Er-Hu and Gu-Zheng and modern instruments, re-imagining popular anime and game music.
RFL will feature the vocal talents of Afir, Leena, Binyun, Delphine, Kaoru, Kazuki, MinRi, Jeii, Rina-Hime, Zie Aun, Fate Feather, Tato Queen, Yonlynn and Erul Samah.
Attendees can also enjoy performances by six J-Rock Tamashi bands, including L.E.S.S., Tabako Neko, Grand Endeavour, Za Shinsei, Moshi Hoshi, and Ignight. In addition to the music, the festival will feature fun activities like a Wasabi Challenge, kids cosplay competition, ACG singing competition, and booths offering merchandise and crafts from local vendors.
Sharon Paul emphasized the innovative and exhilarating nature of Animenia, stating that it represents the future of anime music. The festival showcases diverse genres and styles coming together to create something truly unique and inspiring. With a focus on empowering local musicians, the event aims to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.
