Malaysia International Machinery Fair 2025 (MIMF) - Explore Tomorrow’s Tech Today

The 36th Malaysia International Machinery Fair (MIMF 2025), taking place from July 10 to 12 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, is set to reaffirm Malaysia’s pivotal role in the global industrial landscape.

This year’s edition promises to be a landmark event, bringing together over 700 booths and 450 companies from across the globe, including major delegations from China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, and ASEAN countries.

At the recent press conference, Lady Puan Sri Dr. Susan Cheah, Honorary Life President of Malaysia Promas International, reflected on the deeper significance of MIMF:

“MIMF is more than just a trade exhibition; it is a gateway to opportunity. It serves as a vital conduit for business matching, technology exchange, and international market expansion. We are proud that it has evolved into one of Malaysia’s most respected industrial exhibitions.”

Through our enduring partnerships with China and other overseas institutions, PROMAS continues to bridge Malaysian enterprises with global buyers, manufacturers, and investors.” Lady Susan emphasized that these connections foster not only transactions but also long-term collaborations that drive innovation and economic growth.

Since its inception in 1989, the fair—organized by ES International Event Management Sdn Bhd—has championed professionalism, innovation, and the development of Malaysia’s industrial landscape. The event is strategically timed with the emerging Industry 5.0 era, where artificial intelligence, automation, and human collaboration converge.

The fair’s core exhibition zones reflect this evolution, focusing on three major sectors:

The Plastics & Mould zone will showcase a wide array of injection molding machines, blow molding machines, moulds, smart manufacturing solutions, and raw materials. Thanks to a large-scale Chinese exhibitor delegation organized by our long-term partner, CMEC International Exhibition Co. Ltd., this zone highlights the growing synergy between the Chinese and ASEAN plastics industries, supporting Malaysia’s plastics sector transformation toward greater professionalism and competitiveness.

In the Food Processing, Packaging & Bakery Equipment zone, visitors will find advanced next-generation food machinery, smart packaging equipment, and automated baking technologies. Backed by the China Packaging Federation, this section aims to boost Malaysia’s food industry by improving production efficiency, quality control, and compliance with international standards—key factors in enhancing global competitiveness.

The Smart Technology & LED Signage zone captures the essence of Industry 5.0 with exhibits featuring industrial automation systems, AI control platforms, robotics, drone technology, smart healthcare systems, industrial visual inspection, and LED lighting solutions. This area exemplifies a seamless integration of AI and automation from raw material management to final packaging, positioning Malaysia as a regional leader in smart manufacturing within ASEAN.

Dato Chong Chong Tik, President of PROMAS, emphasized the international momentum that MIMF 2025 has achieved, noting the remarkable increase in overseas participation, especially from China. He expressed pride in the fair’s ability to attract a diverse range of exhibitors, including more than 150 companies specializing in food processing and packaging sectors that are rapidly advancing in Malaysia.

He also highlighted PROMAS’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful business relationships, stating that the fair’s business matching program is designed to make cross-border partnerships more accessible and productive.

“We want every participant to leave with real opportunities, not just contacts,” he remarked, underscoring the importance of creating a supportive environment where new ventures and collaborations can thrive.

In support of local entrepreneur empowerment, Dato Seri Abu Hassan Bin Mohd Nor, President of Dewan Perniagaan Usahawan Malaysia (DPUM), emphasized the fair’s potential for economic stimulation.

“MIMF is a unique space for Malaysian entrepreneurs to gain exposure to international standards and forge valuable partnerships. We are expecting around 100,000 visitors, which clearly reflects the fair’s growing influence and relevance to our economy,” he said.

This record-breaking expected attendance is a testament to the credibility and reach of MIMF.

As Lady Susan Cheah aptly summarized, “We are proud that MIMF has evolved into one of Malaysia’s most respected industrial exhibitions. We remain committed to supporting the growth of local SMEs, fostering regional cooperation, and elevating Malaysia as a key player in the global machinery and manufacturing ecosystem. She warmly invited industry players, entrepreneurs, and innovators to join the fair, where “innovation meets opportunity.”

Malaysia International Machinery Fair (MIMF 2025) stands as a testament to Malaysia’s ambition to become a more influential exporter of branded industrial products in Asia. It offers a vibrant platform for cross-border collaboration, technology transfer, and industrial advancement—essential ingredients for the nation’s continued economic growth and global integration.

Mark your calendars for July 10 – 12, and be part of this transformative event at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. Whether you seek to explore cutting-edge machinery, engage with international partners, or gain insights into Industry 5.0 innovations, MIMF 2025 promises an unmatched experience that will shape the future of manufacturing and technology in Malaysia and beyond.
