In Malaysia’s post-COVID recovery landscape, the audio-visual and lighting (AVL) industry has emerged as a beacon of economic revival. However, a critical challenge has surfaced – a shortage of skilled professionals within the industry. Recognizing this gap, the collaborative initiative aims to address this talent deficit and fortify the industry’s workforce.
Anthony Chow Chee Ming, Technical Director of DrSound Productions, emphasized the demand for skilled crew not only in Malaysia but across Southeast Asia. This shortage poses a significant bottleneck to the industry’s sustained growth, affecting operational efficiency and innovation.
